Why should you use Microsoft Sustainability Manager ?
The Microsoft Sustainability Manager is an innovative tool designed to help businesses effectively track, report, and reduce their environmental impact. It is fully integrated in the Microsoft platform and gains insights from environmental data, enhancing data collection processes, accurately calculating emissions, and optimizing sustainability reporting.
By leveraging Microsoft Sustainability Manager, organizations can more efficiently achieve their sustainability goals and minimize their environmental footprint.
Microsoft Sustainability Manager – process and data flow
The process uses an easy four-step process for managing sustainability data:
1
Master data: Establish unit groups, conversions, and report settings. It involves types of instruments, vehicles, fuels, or industrial processes, and also defines organizational and facility information, along with libraries of emission factors.
2
Record: Capture activity data reflecting operational boundaries organized into Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions categories. Emissions are then calculated using this activity data combined with relevant emission factors.
3
Report: Utilize analytics to interpret the data, and generate reports on emissions and sustainability metrics.
4
Reduce: Implement scorecards to track progress and identify opportunities for reducing emissions and improving sustainability performance.
